“But the echo comes back empty” is the title of Álex Marco’s new artist booklet. In collaboration with the Galería Luis Adelantado Valencia and the von Schulthess Collection, the publication reflects Álex’s art project created during his artist residency in Les Alesiers from August to October 2020. The recently published booklet brings together the drawings, paintings, photographs, objects and frames created there.
The publication aims to help the reader understand Álex’s experience in all its depth. It is the diary of his stay in Switzerland. If you read the book carefully, you will recognize all his sources of inspiration in the surroundings of Les Alisiers. He observed the nature of the Swiss Alps in the same way he usually explores the urban environment to find out its “social use, the way we live in the city”.
