WOUND is a series of works on paper by the artist Eliza Mamardashvili. It was created in the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of her home country, Ukraine. In a makeshift air-raid shelter set up in a cultural centre, she had the means to express her personal experiences through direct gestures with the simplest of materials, ‘tracing’ them with a ballpoint pen on loose sheets of paper.
The Olivier von Schulthess Collection is honoured to express the importance of this series of works in an artist’s book.
